GGAC Ministries - Give God A Chance Ministries

Thank you for your interest in GGAC Ministries!

GGAC Ministries is a ministry committed to serving God and the spiritual needs of others. I believe in using Biblical principles, I offer practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant, peaceful and sober life.  I have led the life of destruction, I have had abandoment and loss, I have wondered aimlessly lost. I do not want anyone else to go through what I did, and you do not have to.

My Ministry is based on the belief that God is the comfortor of all our needs.  No matter how bad things may seem in life you need to Give GOD A Chance  and let Him work in your life. I am committed to helping you find the way there. As a result, your life will be changed and you will have a new inspiration and belief in yourself and in what the Holy Spirit can do and will do in your life, if you only Give God A Chance.  I was inspired by my adopted Mama Dianne (Haneke) to write a book on my life's journey.  I write poems crying out to God, I sat down and wrote a devotional to go along with each poem. My book was published and is available on Amazon.com   If  you are interested please go to the link below and you can get a copy.  At least go and read the "Reviews" I am humbled and amazed that God would use me and my life for something such as this! (Thank you Mama "D")

Weekly Devotional 1-29-2012 Our Comforter

In John 15:5, John tell us that Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches: he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.” This I believe is one of the most important scriptures in the New Testament. If we will understand that as long as we continue to study the Bible, and stay in Christ no matter what happens us we will be successful maybe not successful in the world views, but certainly successful in Christ view.

So many times we get caught up with what is going on in the world around us that we put the Bible on the back burner thinking we will get back around to it and caught back up. I myself was completely guilty of this. I do get caught back up, but what I have found is that when I am doing that the things I was reading are about the struggles I was going through. If I would have been reading on time as I should have been it would have been so much easier with more peace in my heart to go through those times. I read my “catch ups” and thought to myself, “gosh I wish I would have read this when needed while I was struggling.” It was then that I made the commitment to stay in my studies of the richness of the word.

Jesus tells up “…aside from Him you can do nothing…” how true those words are. The impact we make on others is the result of what they see in us. Do they see Christ in you? Do they see fear in you? Do they see hopelessness in you? Do they see the “peace that surpasses all understanding in you? What do others see in you? It make me ashamed to think of what others have seen in me when I am in the turmoil’s of life. There have been times I have lost hope! There have been times I have just wanted to give up and quit! There have also been times when the strength of Christ has been so present in my that I have shown my hope only to be in Him!

I write to you this week to encourage you to stay in you studies wherever the LORD may have you in the Bible or wherever your heart may take you in it. STAY in it! Those words that come are there at that time for a reason I have learned that. I hope to encourage you to never give up hope in our One True LORD Jesus Christ (Jeshua) the One who is and was and is to come. He is there with you and your loved ones. He is there to offer hope, love, comfort as long as you allow Him to come into your world and give it to you.

GOD bless you all and thank you for taking the time to spend here at GGAC Ministries!!! :-)

A YOUNG MAN HITCH-HIKING:

Yesterday morning Veterans day 11-11-2010, I was driving down I35 outside Austin Texas and there was a young man walking. He did not have his thumb out but I pulled over anyway to give him a ride. His name is Luke and he is traveling across the U.S. up to Seattle doing a documentary on hitch-hiking. He broke out his camera and interviewed me while driving down the road. He is about 24-25 years old, I did not think to ask him his age as we were having such good conversation. About a mile down the road was another hitch-hiker, I pulled over and picked him up also. He was a veteran who had lost his job and not gotten paid and was trying to make it back home to Oklahoma, his name was Paul! Luke interviewed him also to document his story. Luke was telling us that he had prayed to God and asked him “God if I am to continue on this journey please give me a sign” well he and I both believe me stopping and picking him up was that sign. He said he was ready to give up and quit.
I cannot help but think of the bravery and courage it is taking for Luke to take this journey in the dangerous world we live in now days. I am asking you if you could please air this story so than any listeners who may see Luke will maybe pick him up and help him on his journey but more than anything else if we could get a prayer chain going to pray for his safety on this journey!
You may wonder why this is so important to me. I use to be a drug addict and alcoholic and have been homeless 5 times. I use to have to hitch-hike A LOT! It is very dangerous out there. I was raped once but survived. I am very concerned for Luke.  I always pull over and pick up hitch-hikers because I remember what it was like walking down those highways just praying for the next place to rest or the next safe ride. I also pick them up because I want to know their story. That is the first thing I ask them, “what is your story?” Everyone has a story and I am always curious as to what is this persons story.
As I said he is about 24-25, he is carrying a guitar case and a LARGE army like duffle bag with a brown teddy bear pillow hanging off of it. He has curly brown hair and is tall and thin. I am thinking this morning as I awoke at 3:00 a.m. thinking of him, he should probably be between Waco and Dallas or up around Dallas by now. PLEASE PRAY for Luke and his safety on this journey!!! GOD bless you all

UPDATE -Today 2-5-2011 Luke called me and said "thank you so very much, if it hadn't been for you and others who gave me a ride I would probably still be out there." He was very greatful and safe back at home in Texas! PRAISE BE TO GOD OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN!!! Thank you LORD for protecting Luke and bringing him back home safely!!! Just as this young man in this story did not give up, neither should you, you will never win (succeed) if you give in!! DON"T give up and remember "Greater is HE who is in (for) us than he who is in the world" 1 John 4:4
Never give up on GOD because HE will never give up on you!!!

Blessings

In John 3 we find a man who's faith  was strong in religion and Jesus set him straight; that is that Faith is an Inner Transformational Journey and not rigid rules and regulations. In John 4 we have a woman who thought herself no good and had  "relationship addiction", to fill the holes in her soul, and Jesus encouraged her that she was a child of God, and filled her inner spirit with the living water of God! InJohn 5 we have a man who lived with his infirmities in self- pity and in the "victim role" and Jesus healed him by a new faith and confidence in God and in himself. I literally relate to this man because I was not healed until I was 38. Some people come because of problems with alcohol, other because of problems with drug, others have come because of a personal loss of a family member, and others because of valleys that life has thrown in their path.

We hope that for whatever reason you are here on this site, that in some way you will find the answers you need or are searching for. That is what GGAC Ministries is all about. May God Bless You and keep you in His ever- loving care. See the bible verse Isaiah 41:17, " When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thrist, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. Or another verse that I find comfort in is, Isaiah 40:31, " But the they wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint. I don't know where you are in your walk in life; but I find personal comfort in knowing that I can have the wings of a eagle and soar above all that is in or below me, if I only believe.
